The wonderful elderblog “Time Goes By” that I have mentioned here before is publishing a great new series on reverse mortgages. The author of the blog is going through the process of acquiring a reverse mortgage, and is documenting each step of the process. In her 4th post, she says, “ It is gradually being recognized, however, by people who take the time to investigate the reality of HECMs, that reverse mortgages can be one more tool in planning for a reasonably secure retirement.” In other words, do your homework, but don’t be afraid. She is now up to step 5, the required counselling, but there are links to all of her posts in the blog. For once, we have someone who knows how to write and is willing to learn the facts. Thank you Ronni Bennett!
